Accreditation is the difference between a facility manager hoping you're reputable and being able to check. CJSAC makes that difference something they can verify.
New memberships — 2026/2027

More than a badge; a beacon of trust to showcase to your clients, your staff and yourself.
The Commercial Janitorial Standards & Accreditation Council (CJSAC) works to raise the floor in commercial cleaning — an industry where buildings hand keys, access cards and alarm codes to crews they rarely meet, often on the strength of the lowest bid. We verify the things that actually matter, we date every check, and we publish the result where a facility manager can find it.
Trust is invisible without the seal. In a 2021 BBB survey, 78% of consumers said they were more likely to buy from a business that displays it.
Better Business Bureau
Not every contractor can be accredited, and that's the point. Only those that put transparency, client experience and safety first make the cut. To become accredited, we review the following — and we re-review it, on a schedule, for as long as you're a member.
Any licenses, registrations or permits required for the commercial cleaning services your company provides.
A signed attestation that your business follows our baseline safety standards on every job: hazard communication (Safety Data Sheets on file and every container labeled), measured dilution and never mixing products, protective equipment provided at no cost to staff, wet-floor signs and clear walkways, bloodborne pathogen precautions, powered floor equipment checked before use and unplugged before servicing, staff trained on each product and machine, logged and secure client keys, access cards and alarm codes, background checks, incidents reported to the client in writing within one business day, and active insurance and bonding. The full standards are on our How we list page.
Every accredited member gets a public verification page on cjsac.org: a live, dated record of what we checked and when. Put the link in your email signature, your proposals and your RFP responses. It's the shortest possible answer to "why should we trust you with our building?"
Trade name, legal name where it differs, and the badge you've earned.
An accreditation ID a client, a lender or a procurement team can quote back to us, the date you were verified, and the date you're next reviewed.
Insurance, bonding, workers' comp, licensing, background checks and your safety commitment — each with its own status and its own dates. Not one vague tick.
A proposal request that lands in your CRM, and a route to report a concern. Both matter: a trust page without the second one isn't a trust page.
Your membership keeps working after accreditation. These are the tools and resources that come with it, grouped by what they're for.
Proof a client can check, and the standing to point at.
Turning the attention your badge earns into signed accounts.
Being the business found first, by people and by AI.
Answers, playbooks and buying power behind you.

The two that do the most work in the first ninety days.
A trust-first page on cjsac.org built around your accreditation, your services and your service area, with a proposal request form wired straight into your CRM. Designed to turn the attention your badge earns into walkthroughs and signed accounts.
Say goodbye to missed calls. Good while your crews are out at night, or as a first line before a call reaches your office. It uses enterprise-grade voice models and is fully connected to our CRM.
24/7 support by text, from an assistant trained on our full library of guides, playbooks and member resources — and connected to your account, so it can answer questions about your own standing too.
Ask it how to price a nightly office contract, how to answer a one-star review, or when your insurance is next due. Especially useful for newer owners who'd otherwise be guessing.
Getting found, by facility managers and increasingly by the AI assistants they ask first.
High-intent local search terms turned into optimised pages automatically — "commercial cleaning companies in Phoenix," and the hundreds of variants like it. Built into your landing page.
More buyers now ask an AI "who should clean our office building?" before they send out an RFP. Members get our playbooks on how to be the business it names — what to publish, where, and in what shape.
The top three local results take most of the clicks. Members get our guides to earning a place there for the searches that actually convert — "janitorial services near me," "office cleaning company nearby."
Your accreditation isn't limited to the badge. When you need to demonstrate your standing to a third party, CJSAC issues an official Accreditation Status Letter — on our letterhead, listing exactly what we verified and when.
Attach independent confirmation of your insurance, bonding and background checks to a bid package.
Give a property management company's vendor-compliance team a dated record they can check themselves.
Document your accreditation history for a buyer or a lender, with dates they can confirm on their own.
